48 days

Just 48 days left before I leave for my travels.... Feeling that time is really dragging by slowly, and I feel so suffocated because I am really exhausted with work, and feeling that I really really need a break right now. That was how I wanted a mini getaway before my big trip so that I can keep myself sane.

I was thinking of Christchurch flying with Jetstar, but then I think I will need about a week to explore NZ. I shouldn't be taking a week off not long before my big break anyway... In the end I opted to fly to Canberra over the weekends, which should be enough. However, I wasn't sure if that was a wise choice, therefore I've only looked up flights but haven't booked any. Still thinking if I should go.... At least over one of the weekends end of February or early March... But then perhaps I should just save the money for my big trip instead? Dilemma....

Looking for accommodation in HK is really quite tedious.... I will prefer to stay in HK Island, but the hotels in HK Island are so expensive! Kowloon has cheaper hotels, but being a solo female traveller I need to ensure my own safety, and Kowloon is slightly more complicated, though great for shopping. I have only shortlisted Island Pacific Hotel so far because that seems to be the cheapest option that I've come across (HKD960 = AUD 142 per night).... Gonna burn a big hole in my pocket after HK!

As for Korea, I haven't looked up accommodation since I was busy planning my trip around Seoul, as well as looking up information regarding KTX between Seoul and Busan. Haven't got a chance to meet up with Mary (Tony's wife) to get details regarding cheap service apartments near Nam Dae Moon (or was it Dong Dae Moon? I can't remember). Mary is from Seoul and she knows every where's and what's of Seoul, so hopefully she can provide me with insights that will benefit my trip. I did come across a cheap serviced apartment near Mt. Nam San costing KWON 80,000 per night (about AUD $80 per night) but I think Mary has a even cheaper option.

Sigh... How I wish I can fly off right now!! It is quite excruciating knowing that something exciting will be happening soon, but it's still like 7 weeks away..... It makes me feel like I'm dragging my feet to work everyday... :(
