LOL @ the title, but then, yea... here are a few things that has recently formed as a part of my life's little "pleasures"...
1) Re-reading "Le Petit Prince" (The Little Prince) by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
All because I need to wait for someone for a total of more than 2 hours, and I wasn't feeling very much like shopping, I ended up at Borders bookshop and picked up "The Little Prince" from the shelves and started re-reading it. I can't remember when was the last time I read it, but it was a long time ago. The memory of it has faded a fair bit already, so I decided to pick it back up. I remembered it was a very meaningful book and it still is. Some quotes I've picked up from the book as follows:
"In that case, you shall judge yourself....... That is the most difficult thing of all. It is far more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others. If you succeed in judging yourself correctly, then you are truly a man of wisdom."
"Where you come from" said the little prince, "people grow five thousand roses in one garden - and still they do not find what they are looking for."
Left behind, it will only be an old cast-off shell. There is nothing sad about an old shell.
I am sort of touched by the little prince's loyalty to his own rose. Tell me about loyalty in this world. It is so hard to find! I like the way the prince said about various things, from the heart of a child from a faraway planet/star, yet it means so much to a grown-up like me reading this.
The book illustrates how fanciful a child's imagination may be, however, this supposedly 'useless' fancies portrays the truth and purity that a regular person should possess, yet everyone lose these qualities as they become the "extraordinary grown-ups' eventually.
I loved this book as a teenager. I love this book (still) now.
2) 27 Dresses
In short: I enjoyed this movie. Also from the producers of "The Devil Wears Prada", and acted by Katherine Heigl, James Marsden and Edward Burns. It was funny and relaxing. Story is about this lady, Jane, who plans all her friends' weddings and being a bridesmaid herself, is single, and has not found one to love her (yet), but she is putting in so much effort and plan fantastic weddings for her friends. All she can do is to see her younger sister hook up with the man she likes and eventually even got to plan their wedding! Anyway, from all the weddings she has planned and participated, it totaled up to 27 of them, and she kept all the dresses she wore to the wedding ceremonies... so hence, 27 DRESSES. One day this guy Kevin, who works for New York Journal came along, and decided to use her story as his feature story. And so the story goes on how they bickered when they see each other, to sparks fly.... etc etc. It was a hilarious movie. Honestly I haven't seen Katherine Heigl in any other shows other than "Grey's Anatomy", so I haven't really seen this gorgeous and humorous side of her.
3) The Amazing Race - season 10
Every Thursday night, I'll be home faithfully by 7.30pm to catch this program. Season 10 of "The Amazing Race" has started a couple of months back, and I know Australia is really late in receiving this season (just like all the other seasons) and that the race has already been completed and the winner's announced, but I still watched every single detail of the race and enjoying every exciting minute of it. For some reason I just love the race, and I've developed a strong liking for it. Never would miss it for my life if I can help it!
So far in the season, the 11 groups of 2 have gone to India, China (and Mongolia, the episode I missed, so I'm unsure if it's inner Mongolia or Mongolia...), Kuwait and Vietnam... And each time I see pairs being eliminated, and now it's down to just 6 pairs. It's always sad to see some of them go, but then, it just makes the program more interesting as more competitive and tougher groups compete against each other to win the race and the million dollars~
4) Self-taken pic in the dark
Random stuff... but yeah, I got this inspiration when I entered this really dimly-lit toilet last Friday when I went to Chi, and snapped this photo with my low-resolution camera-phone. Looks mysterious, but I like it like that. After all, you can't really see the hideous me like this. *grins*
5) Dinner @ Malaysia Garden
2 nights ago I went to Malaysia Garden to have dinner with Sha... It has been more than a year since I last went there! Imagine, it's situated in Clayton, where I live! Yet I hardly ever patron the restaurant even though the food is good~ I know it's weird, but I dare say that I have not tried most of the restaurants around here. The 2 of us ordered nasi lemak, super spicy char kway teow, and a beef rendang. It was really yummy stuff!

6) HIM
Even though he gives me the fits and anger all the time... and not to mention misery and disappointment... but, I truly love him from the bottom of my heart. I believe he loves me too, though his actions always tells otherwise. I am always so happy with him, yet so sad at the same time too... But to have him with me is the greatest thing that has ever happened in my life. I will treasure all the times we spent together, no matter how rarely we see each other... and I hope as time passes us by, we will walk closer and closer to the road of bliss and happiness...
I love you, my dear. Even if it's me loving you more...
