Congratulations Eva!!

My very good friend here, Eva, just gave birth to her little daughter in the afternoon yesterday (23 February 2008). I am so happy for her! To think, I've just met her up on Friday night for dinner, and after she returned, all was well until well past 1am in the morning her water broke and was rushed to the hospital. She gave me a call in the evening when she was resting in the hospital to tell me the good news. I was surprised she gave birth earlier~ The doctors have said that her baby's birth is expected to be on 8th March, however, anytime before this 2 weeks it is possible for delivery too.

I can't wait to see the baby though! But for now, I will let Eva have a good rest and she is in good hands of her mother-in-law who has just flew in from Taiwan. Perhaps I'll pay her a visit next weekend~

CONGRATULATIONS to the new and happy parents EVA and ALVIN!! :)

So, on Friday, I met Eva and her unborn baby, Zoe, in the city for dinner. We went to Kimchi Grandma to have Korean food and we had a good chat there... Then we walked to the Yarra River and South Bank area and shot some photos, then sitting down for more chat... It's always nice to chat with her~

Wonder what's all the uptight security about?

There're lots of people gathering for this talk celebrating Kosovo's independence from Serbia... That's why there were lots of police around.

Then as I was uploading these pics from my camera, I realized that I had taken some pics of the last dinner I've cooked in my old house @ Cantala Street was still in there. So I decided to share here...

Potato and minced meat...
The taste's ok, but then some of the potato aren't very cooked so they're kinda hard... O.o

Pak Choy - simplest to cook and healthy

I got this pork chop on bargain so bought them and pan-fried them... It's nice!

Prawns plus mixed vegetables with Bulgogi sauce...
I know it sounds weird, but I was trying to use up my sauce before I move... lol...
And yeah it tastes kinda weird as well...

And one more that I've taken on Friday with my colleague, Maria... She's back from her holidays in Vietnam.

This week's a funny week. All along I've thought last Friday was my last day. However, I was called back every single day this week. It's good that I can get a week of extra money! But next week's timetable seems pretty... bleak... they really do not need so many people to work for them anymore. So I better find something to fill up my time if there's no shifts for me, as well as looking for a new job at the same time~

Saturday night -- We (Mary, Grace, Edwin, me) went to watch "Jumper", starring Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson and Rachel Bilson. It's about this guy who can teleport himself anywhere - from going through doors in his home, to accessing the money safe in the bank, and even to anywhere around the world! It was a pretty interesting movie, and kept me entertained, however, I just felt that the quality of it seems kind of flimsy.

After that, we went over to Hardi's place... Man..... he's so freaking rich! He owns that apartment which he bought at AUD 500,000, plus, he's now changing all his carpeted floors to tiles because his little puppy kept peeing and pooing on his carpets! I loved his apartment though! It offers a very nice view of the city. And not to mention, I love love love LOVE LOVE his little puppy LILO! He's so friendly and active! Kept jumping on me and Edwin even though it's our first time meeting him! I can't get enough of him! If Hardi's not our friend I'd have smuggled Lilo back home to keep me company!

I can't get a good, clear photo of Lilo~ SIGH!

Oh yeah... I got myself the pair of white Converse sneakers I wanted for so long now~ It cost me AUD $80 but I thought I'll just 'heck care' and get it. The salesgirl told me that white and a couple of other colours are priced AUD $80 everywhere, with no discounts. I guess those are the colours people usually go for and are really popular. Anyway, I really really like it~ I have something for white shoes, actually. They just go with any outfit I wear~

Honestly, so many things have happened these few days that caused a strain in our relationship. I still do not know whether to confront him or not... It doesn't feel good to be asking about something so discreet and private, yet I cannot stand the thought of the possibility that he might have betrayed me.

Just last night, we had a huge quarrel because I was pissed off he came back home at 4am without telling me he's going to be late. I stayed up all night waiting, and even went out by myself at 3am hoping to bump into him. He's got his own views, and I've got mine, and we argued. A few times I wanted to bring the issue up and I did asked him to tell me what's on the table, but he did not find out which one I am talking about. When he left the room angry, I decided to just calm myself down and not think of anything anymore. Perhaps it's just my fate. Perhaps he did do something behind my back and I am the fool who is supposed to keep my eyes and mouth shut. I really dunno what I am supposed to think...

But then, I melted when he melted... Who knows after a warm shower he came into the room hugging me, smothering me with kisses, and whining he needs a cup of tea (I suspect he was partially drunk... hmmph!) and eventually cuddle me to sleep... Who can complain after that? I was totally surprised he was like that, but I love the way he treated me then, so I cannot resist. It was like making up after a big fight. And that night I slept peacefully in his arms... just like a baby in his/her mother's arms...

It's either I trust him, or I got to confront him sooner or later. How can I somehow combine trust and confrontation without seemingly too offensive? Or I just let it go this time, keep mum, and observe? I really dunno which is the best way. Sigh~

i guess sometimes we kinda know the truth might hurt us and we aren't ready for that kind of hurt to ruin our life. that's probably why you choose to put that confrontation aside first.
i respect that. :)

thanks...
but i sorta confronted again, in an indirect way. he finally 'realized' what i'm talking abt... as expected, he said it's for 'himself', so it's entirely up to me whether to believe or not. :-|
hmm, for himself... kinda corny and hard to believe...

well if i want my life to be better i must think it's true then... what can i do? moreover, it might be true, it might be not... i also dunno wat to think.

perhaps to make life better, he didn't throw out the bottle immediately after i've said it. perhaps that's a notion to tell me that he has nothing guilty to hide. who knows?

think positive. makes life easier. i have enough things to worry about. so, just let it be i think?
