Ip Man 2

Ip Man 2 (叶问2:宗师传奇) was a fantastic movie! Wing chun was intriguing! Especially when Ip Man (Donnie Yen) was having a match with Hung (Sammo Hung) on a big round and wobbly table; as well as competing with the stuck-up and ignorant Western boxing champion, Twister. Those are the 2 greatest scenes in the movie. Despite it being a movie about Chinese kungfu, and the master of Wing Chun (who eventually taught the world famous Bruce Lee), it also has its funny bits amidst other seriousness.

Melbourne has been screening a few Asian movies in their cinemas, but in much smaller theatres. The theatre we were seated in only had 7 rows. However, it is a good thing cuz we can now access Asian movies much easily (though only some of them, not all) for the same price as other movies.

8/10 stars for Ip Man 2

*Note: Pronounced as "Ip Mun" as to a BUN for a NUN... MUN.
Too many people have been calling it "Ip Man" literally... as in a police-MAN.
