Huiting's Farewell @ Chom Chom
Another friend will be going back to his/her home country for good again.... and she is Hui ting.
Actually Hui Ting and I are not very close friends who hang out very often. Ever since Ed left, we did not get to meet up again. However, I remember her as very easy-going and friendly girl whom I got to know during Chom Chom days almost 3 years ago. I remembered singing Karaoke with her the last I met her with Ed and Kai. It has been almost 2 years since that happened.
Now she has planned to go back to Malaysia for good. But she should be going to Singapore for jobs since her sister is living there. She's leaving next week and has called us out for a lunch gathering.
There were only 4 of us though - Yongshan, Kai Syin, me and her. Many of our friends are either back in their home countries for good, or for holidays (it's school hols now). Luckily there were still Andrew and Lilian working at Chom so they could join us for a bit since it wasn't busy.
I had my spicy beef ban mian - one of my favorites at Chom. And now Chom has ice kacang!!! We were thrilled therefore we ordered one to share. It was OK... a tad too sweet... Of course Singapore sells the best ice kacangs....

Sigh.... Going back to Chom brings back all the memories.... People still asks me about Ed even though they know we are just friends now. They'll also ask Ed about me since I don't see them a lot. And every single corner of that restaurant brings flashbacks of our days slaving in Chom, tired but happy. It is a place I have met many good friends, and the one I hold a very important spot until now. Someone whom I treasure deeply, and who understood me inside out in a very short period of time. I dare say he is by far the only one who understood me more than even my closest friends but unfortunately we are not meant to be.
Next week is going to be a full-ON week. So far, I will be working 7 days every week... The only difference is that now I've quit my full-time, I need not go to the office 5 days a week, but instead just 3 days a week as a casual, for the month of January. Come February, I will only have one part-time, and will therefore have to find a new full-time job.
Gonna quickly have my 'dinner' and go have a rest.... :)
