Shopping and Dinner.... Dinner and Shopping... and WORK

Another week of work... however, just 6 days work this time (I managed to bargain for my Saturday free!)... JUST? I'm not complaining of an opportunity to earn money, however, I am so freaking tired like that. Chey... it's not all full days what! Yeah... but imagine traveling to and from Clayton and City everyday, having to drag myself out of bed every morning and having 5 hour sleep is not exactly my cup of tea.

On the brighter side, everywhere in Melbourne is having massive sales! Myer and The Basement are also holding their annual stocktake sale, and they have slashed the prices of their usual expensive goods as much as 50% off! I was really excited about it, but I got to work.... However, I got to shop with Chris at The Basement after my 3 hour shift on Thursday. I got myself a pair of shoes and a top, and nearly got myself a dress. After that, I got a jacket from Jay-Jays, cuz Chris claimed that it looks really good on me. Dang... he should really go and be a salesman instead, since he's so convincing. lol... After that, Edwin joined us during his break, and we shopped at Politix. I had nothing to see at Politix since it's a men apparel store... Chris saw a jacket that he liked the other day, and Edwin was trying it, and I was saying it doesn't suit him, and recommended him another suit/jacket that does. It was $199, but it really fits him. The cutting of the suit goes very well with his structure. And in the end, he got the suit... hahaha... He always go around saying that I am his fashion consultant. Chris always ask my opinion too, when he himself has a good sense of style. But honestly, I do not know alot about guys fashion. But I do know what will work, and try my best to recommend.

Some snapshots of only SOME of the things I've gotten myself over the days....

There were other things I've bought... like 2 new scarves, 2 new gloves, a few other tops, a new hair band, earrings etc.... All my work money all spent on fashion.... dang... how much must I work in order to earn enough for my vanity and still manage to pay my rent??

Fantastic Four was out today (Thursday, 21st), but we didn't arrange to watch it since it's not a movie night Tuesday (cheaper tix!). So most likely we'll all be catching next Tuesday. So this Tuesday, I worked half-day, til 6pm. Chris had came by Chom Chom to look for me, but we were busy... He told me it was his last paper, and wanted to go shopping. But in the end, we arranged for dinner, cuz by 6pm the shops will be closing/closed. Therefore, we met at 6pm and went to Lygon together. I had NO idea what to eat there, so we ended up walking the whole stretch of Lygon Street. Lygon's full of Italian and Thai restaurant, so I thought I'll have Italian food since it was a long time I last had it. Ended up in Cafe Corretto, and Chris and I each had a pumpkin soup, and shared a small tropical pizza. Edwin called me later on and joined us for dinner. After dinner, the 3 of us went to The Pancake Parlour again for something sweet to 'relax'. Shared Jamaican Banana again, and Edwin and I each ordered sodas to try. The blue heaven soda was really good... The raspberry one was so-so... Andrew has recommended that raspberry flavour to me, but it wasn't as good as he has described it.

Recently, our boss Steven has been cooking lots of desserts and letting us taste them. He made chendol of us... but there was no red bean, so he used green bean instead. It was fabulous!!! Then the next day, he made this kueh (i dunno the name of it) with the green jelly on top and white glutinous rice at the bottom. That tasted like heaven!!! Then just today, he made apple strudel. It's a different one and was coated with coconut flakes. I had so many of that and I am still craving for it. Steven really has a flair in culinary. And the stuff he cooks... makes me miss my home in Singapore. However, the setback is that I'll need to watch my weight~

Ice chendol... green bean taste just as good, though I'm not a fan of green bean myself.

Here comes the dreadful Friday....... Got to hit the sack to rejuvenate myself for the battle tomorrow!
(Fridays are hell in restaurants..... x.X)
