Mornington and Sorrento

Took a day off from work today and joined Sharuen and Sky on a tour to Mornington Peninsula. First up, in the morning, we woke up early (8-ish am) and then travelled down to the city, where we went to Grand Hyatt on Collins Street to pick up our rented car at AVIS. It's a manual car, a really nice yellow (my fave colour!) Hyundai, but too bad, neither Sharuen and I are confident in handling the manual (turns out in the end, I lost touch with manual! Boo-hoo!!!), so Sky became our driver for the entire journey~
For people new to Australia like Sky, it's understandable that he doesn't know the way. For people like me and Sharuen, it's kinda... 'unforgiveable' that we do not even know where we're going lol.... Well, for direction idiots, that's understandable. Lol... Anyway, Sharuen was at the front seat so she looked at the map, whilst I tried and gave up on the Melway. Supposed to go onto Nepean Highway, but ended up on Princes Highway, cuz we missed the turning, so we went another route and in the end, passed Frankston, then down to Mornington. Everything turns out ok in the end, besides some wrong turns... we found all the sights we intended to go, and it was a fun day overall...
I've been to Mornington Peninsula before, once a full trip way back in 2004, and another time we just passed by on a trip and had a quick stop. Anyway, it's a beautiful place to visit. Mostly beaches... It's good to be looking out to the open, wide, mysterious sea, joining the clear blue skies... however, the weather's too cold... and it showered a couple of times.

At vineyard, T'Gallant... went in for some wine tasting, and bought 2 bottles of wine. I got the Juliet Pinot Noir for $16... We're gonna be alcoholic when we get back home...:
Next Stop was the Ashcombe Maze... just took photos... Entrance fees would be $15, and might need to spend 2hrs inside, so we gave it a miss. I've been here before anyway...:
Stopped at Gunnamata Beach, but we can already see that the rain's coming our way, so we quickly snapped photos and ran for our lives! :
Drove on to Sorrento, and first stopped at this gelati store Glace, which is highly recommended by Sharuen for its smooth, tasty gelati. I tried the Mubble flavoured one, which is not bad...
Spent abit of time at Sorrento Back Beach.... Sky was talking on the phone, and after that was looking out quietly into the deep blue sea, whilst Sharuen and I had a fun time messing around...:
Ended the Mornington trip at London Bridge... this little piece of limestone still standing and withstanding the crashing waves... Nice sunset view too...:
Last stop is to Frankston... shopped for awhile at Bayside Shopping Centre, and also a chance for me to revisit my 'home' for 2 years for my bachelor degree. Also Sharuen's old 'home'. I kinda miss Frankston....
Went to Dragon King for dinner... that was where Sharuen used to work, and still occassionally help out sometimes. The chicken kaplan was nice... so was the black pepper beef...:
Overall, FUN DAY~~ Nice to take a break for a trip!
Too bad I'm sick. Have been sick since Monday night... the usual - cough, sore throat and fever... anticipating a runny nose soon, but I hope it will NOT come!
