I have plans!
Well, just tentative plans....
I have roughly drafted my expected expenses for my big trip end of the year. Planning to travel to 4 different places - Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Singapore. Trip is tentatively planned from 15/12/12, all the way til 20/1/13, with the possibility of an extension (like I always do).
Then I thought, rather than craning my neck waiting for another 5.5 months, why not I break the trip up in 2 and travel back to Singapore sometime mid-September for 10 days, right after ending my monthly reports? It would probably be a good time to 'siam' as well because it would be before the start of quarterly reports (in Oct), and after the hectic monthly auto reports. Plus I need a holiday. Would this be a good idea?
Another date I have in mind is sometime mid-August. But I thought it would rather rushed to go back then, so September still look like a more preferred date.
It would probably be a good idea too, to travel TW, KR and JPN in December/January because 1) They are near each other, I can better find cheaper airfares; 2) I only have to pack winter clothings. I can spend 5 weeks more quality time in each of these countries too. Looks like a feasible idea!
Question is: do I have enough money? If I spend some money for my Singapore trip, how much can I fork out for my end of year trip? I still have to go to the dentist this month, and they are always bloody expensive here. God knows what other dental expenditure there would be given my poor dental health. How much would I have left then? Can I still afford my trip? Or I have to cut down a few places and the duration of my holiday as well?
Contrary to what other people think I am, I am not rich. Yes I have 2 jobs, but it is not like I earn big bucks. Rent kills a big portion of my earnings, and plus utilities, phone bills, transportation, groceries and ETC, I don't really have a lot left. And for years I have not taken a cent from my parents. No matter how hard life can be I have to survive on my own, working hard. How I miss those school days where I could simply stick my hand out and I will get a $10 note for my daily Twisties cravings.
Another question on my mind is: Will I be able to simply give Singapore a miss altogether? Perhaps my return to SG can wait until April/May next year? The only concern I have in SG would be my parents. Can I not pay them a visit this year? I know they don't mind, but I do.
I really don't know what is my best option/solution right at this moment, but I guess I will have to think and weigh all my possibilities prudently and come up with a decision ASAP. Hopefully the next time I blog, I would be able to come up with an answer.... ....
