I give thumbs (and toes) up to this drama. If you can, do rent/download/borrow/purchase it. It's a beautifully drafted drama, with very creative 'comic' style layout, with the stories of two different couples. Their stories are both separate - one touching and kind of sad; the other one really hilarious - but they are linked in a loose yet significant way. Both guys are born on the same day of the same month - August 7th...

The first guy looks like an unreliable 'gangster' who job hops, yet he is someone who keeps his promises and treats love seriously. The girl is a kind and optimistic pet shop owner, who is terminally ill since young (she's inherited the illness from her late mother), and therefore her dad is always overprotective of her. He is 阿颖 (郑嘉颖), and she is 阿恩(周丽淇).

The other guy looks up upon money, loves businesses and being his own boss, yet in the process fell in love with the girl he mistakenly thought as 'filthy rich' and therefore manipulated her for his business benefits. The girl works as a comic artist and she also manipulated the guy by pretending to be in love with him for fresh ideas for her comic, yet in the end, she fell in love with him for real. He is 阿Don (黄宗泽), and she is Sasa (唐诗咏).

Their lives never really crossed each other until the brief moment when 颖 was employed at Don's cafe, but after 颖 quit, they went their separate ways. However, little do they know, both couples have rubbed shoulders with each other in one way or another in the drama, but not knowing who the other party is. I love how the loose ties between the two individuals actually brought the entire 20-episode drama together in one great story.

I loved the snow scenes in Kanazawa, Japan. Absolutely breathtaking. And I love how the drama ended with the two guys born on the same date, looking at the same poster across the street from each other, and having the same motive after work - to celebrate their daughter's birthdays (their daughters were born on the same day, same date, same year... same hospital, same time...). And then they caught each other's eyes and smiled in acknowledgment. Absolutely fantastic.

Even though 阿恩 didn't manage to survive in the end, however, she fought for the happiness of the one she loves, leaving him a daughter to accompany him, and a new family - her family. I am really impressed with her optimism and her courage.

All in all, this story taught me that no matter what happens, how down and crude life can take you, never give up, because the most beautiful thing that is meant for you exists just around the corner whenever you persevere, to lift you up. And when the most beautiful thing appears to you, no matter how small it is, hold it and cherish it, because it will be the most unforgettable gift that will remain with you, in your heart, forever.
