Long time no Update!
** Added photos below **
Long time no update! I've been really busy with work lately, and by the time I go back home, I'll be too lazy to do so much writing and picture editing at one go. Luckily it's the weekends now!
I never knew what it means to appreciate the weekends when it's Friday. Working people always says "Thank God it's Friday, and the weekend's here!" and they are all jumping for joy. Now that I'm working, I fully understand what that means! Especially this week... I worked Mon-Fri, and I was so exhausted I am already looking forward to the weekends on Tuesday! Dang... such a torturing week with that concept in mind!
Anyway, here are updates... Divided by 'chapters' again. Enjoy reading...
If it gets too long and dry... erm... just see the pictures?? hahaha...
Chapter 1: Eva's baby bump
It was about 3 months or so I last met Eva before she returned to Taiwan for her wedding. And after she came back to Australia, I haven't got the chance to catch up with her. But now since all my assignments are set aside, we decided it's high time to meet up. But when I saw her, I got a little 'shock' when I saw her protruding tummy, evident that she's pregnant. Even though I know that she was already pregnant the last I met her, I didn't expect that time flies back so fast, that she is already 6 months pregnant! She told me that it's a baby girl, and they are planning to call her 'Zoe'.
However, she's still as skinny as ever... but very pretty. She showed me her wedding pics and even gave me some of her studio pics to keep. Thank you gal... she's just one of my most wonderful friend ever.... Always there, always takes care of me, always sincere. She never fails to share the things she cooks with me~ After these years, she's still bringing over her dessert she made before meeting me, and passed them to the glutton me. Dang....
Eva said if I am free after her child's birth, I am always welcome to play with her and look after her. I want to, but I know NUTS about childcare. Needless to say, being a babysitter. Despite that I love playing with kids, and I love kids, but I definitely go to take extra care not to poison the baby or something.... Should I take the risk? Hmmmm...

Eva and I
She said I look like a little boy in these pics. Do I?
Her husband Alvin looks so happy and so blessed. Better take good care of Eva and shower her with all your love!

Chapter 2: The 'innocent' me
Actually, sometimes what my mom has told me is true: it is useless telling many people your problems and woes. Despite that you can get different opinions which may lead to different solutions, however, you never know how other people may view you. I've only realized this problem a couple of days ago, when someone I know commented: "I thought you are only 18 or 19 years old". To which I asked: "Oh... You mean I look 18 or 19?"... And the reply was: "Not really... Your mentality. Your way of thinking"...
I try to take this feedback from an adult seriously, and with an open mind. But to a certain extent, I cannot help but feel insulted. I know I might not be the most matured person on earth, for my age, and I also know from all the 'naggings' my mom has been giving me, that I have a long way to go to become someone really matured-thinking. However, to have someone who's not my kin to tell me that makes me feel awful. Although I don't blame the person for saying that, but I started to despise myself.
Actually, I am not exactly 'immature' to that sense. These comments sparked from all my miseries and giving my heart out to something/someone, only getting it smashed in the end. What I've experienced this year made me lose all my rationality, my sensibilities and my vision for the future. On top of that, my mind's always been wandering... Though I may not seem like it, I fantasize alot, and my head's always up in the clouds... which might add on to my apparent 'immaturity'.
Anyhow, who knew the Clarice was someone who is willing to give up something just for an insignificant thing call 'love'? Who knew the Clarice who is somewhat ambitious, and always looking for work to support herself, lose all her will to pursue her goals and dreams, just because of something that has been bothering me all this while? Who knew the Clarice, who is always strong and independent, has the capability to crumble and fall apart? Who had known this Clarice so senile and hopeless before? Who has?
No one.
I might still be innocent about many things in the world, for the experiences I've gone through just as yet are not enough to make me come out of my shell completely to conquer this world alone. Yet, I have set my goals and dreams before, and my future has always been in front of whatever and whoever. But why did I give them up so easily for a reason not worth living for? I am also repenting on that.
Mom always says: Don't tell so many people things about you. You will only end up being a laughing stock out of people. And 'til today I realised, what she said is actually true. I do not know how many people actually think I'm hopelessly funny when I share with them my unhappiness and thoughts. I trust many people do sympathize with me and is willing to listen and comfort me with an open heart. However, I think this time round I've shared with too many people. Some people may never understand why I am where I am, because they've never experienced anything similar to what I've experienced. Some people may possess different thinking and perceptions as what I have. They will never understand why I behaved that way, and why I think that way.
Blame me on my big mouth. Blame it on the misery that I keep pouring myself with when I have no more capacity to take anymore in. Blame it on my incompetencies and my stupidity and my naiveness. Blame it on the society where one grain of rice can cultivate so many different sorts of people. Just blame it on me.
As the Chinese saying goes: 不听老人言, 吃亏在眼前. Perhaps I should have listened to my mom long ago. Perhaps I should still listen to my mom. Selectively.

Chapter 3: Work
This week, next week and the week after, I'll be working Mon-Fri, 8.30-5pm.
I am rejoicing, despite that I need to wake up 6+am in the morning. I need the cash, badly. And I also need to kill time with no more school work to worry about. And despite that the job is really just boring, I should be glad that some form of income is actually coming in.
Most of the time I'm in charge of the Silver department, picking stock for them and transfer them to the different outlets in Melbourne, and also interstate. The people I work with in this department are really nice to me... Sometimes I work for Gold department too, but only if they really needed help. The best part of this job is the 'shopping' part. Whilst picking stock, I can also look at the jeweleries and see if there is anything I like. If I found something, I can set them aside and then on Friday, the 'shop' in our office will open, and we can take the things we wanna buy and pay them at a much lower staff price. Just this week, I've bought 2 silver rings that I liked for less than $20. The original price was $39.95! :)
And ever since I started work, I got hopelessly hooked onto BOOST juice drinks. Dang... It was 2 cups per week, then the rate increased to one cup per day! So it's like every morning I'll need to set aside $3 for coffee (or V-Drink, if I do not have time to wait for coffee), and $5.10 for Boost juice every lunchtime. I believe I can drink myself broke with these daily unnecessary 'necessities'!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Chapter 4: Wednesday dinner
Met up with my Korean classmates for dinner at Han Guk Kwan. This restaurant is located at such a discreet area, and plus some misleading directions that I've received, it took me half an hour to find the place......... Walked the wrong direction and then back, but then the food did satisfy me, so it doesn't matter. My teacher, Hye Ri, was there, together with Level 1 and 2 people. But for Level 2, there were just me, Jinyang and Ailin. But the three of us had a good chat, as well as some occasional interaction with the people from Level 1.
I had a huge plate of Chap Chae, with rice. It was yummy! And we shared some side entree dishes, such as the seafood pancake. We also tried some of the dishes the Level 1 peeps have ordered - kimchi chicken, kimchi fried rice, honey chicken etc... And the side dishes are really yummy too... Never tried Han Guk Kwan before, but now that I did, I'm loving it! :)

The Chap chae I had...

Side dishes...

Feast we had... though I didn't get to try all of them...(cuz not all of them belongs to me!)

I like using these metal chopsticks for some reason... Once you get used to it, it's actually not too difficult to use...

Chapter 5: Results Out - And I'm graduating!
Night of November 29, the phone rang. It was the SMS tone.
So, I went to check... and TA-DA!!! It was an sms from uni, with my results. After looking at it, it took me a few seconds to register the results, and realise that: I AM GRADUATING!!!!! HOORAY!!! Even though the grade for my thesis wasn't very satisfying, but either way, I still passed all, and I have smoothly graduated from Masters degree~
To think I was worrying like hell before... It always happens the couple of days before results are released. I will get illusions about myself failing, and the entire scenario following that. This time round, I was fearful of not being able to graduate, and I picture myself getting my $150 refund for my graduation ceremony... -_-;
Honestly, I was hoping my grades would be better, but I know that, being able to pass for me is already good enough. Considering that I haven't been able to give my all for my studies, it is good enough. I am sure I would have done better if I haven't been so dispirited like that, but what's done is done, so I will just rejoice that I managed to graduate and uni life is finally... OVER. And that's all for me for now... No more studies for the next 5 years at least. What will happen that will be up to how I will decide in future. :)

Chapter 6: Coffee Prince

Finished another Korean drama to date:커피프린스 or Coffee Prince... by Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo. This is a romantic comedy about Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye), a tomboyish girl who got mistaken for a guy and helped this guy Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) to get pass his grandmother's set up matchmaking sessions and scare the girls away by asking Eun Chan to pose as his gay partner. Later on, his grandmother gave him a rundown place for him to revamp it into a cafe and run the business to triple the sales by the end of a set period. Eun Chan was hired as a barista in the cafe, and her female identity was hidden all along.... Anyway, sparks did fly between Eun Chan and Han Kyul, and because Han Kyul does not know Eun chan is actually a girl, he starts to question his sexuality.
It was a hilarious drama at some point. But towards the end, I thought the drama got kind of draggy... However, still entertaining... I think both leads did a good job. Yoon Eun Hye is what you call 'charisma-on-screen'. I wouldn't say she's drop-dead gorgeous, and she has this tomboyish look with short hair, she still is able to capture the hearts of audiences. Needless to say, Gong Yoo is so good looking too... but too bad, he's not exactly my type that I will go ga-ga for... hahaha...

Chapter 7: Party at Seven and Shopping
Friday night (30/11), went to Seven, a club at Southbank, for Szerene's 21st birthday party. She has already booked a table and our names are all on guest list. However, we still gotta wait at the doors for more than half hour before we can get in. The music at Seven wasn't too bad, and the ambience was good. Not long after we entered, me, Grace, Mary, Yongshan, Suya, Carene and Edwin went onto the dancefloor to let loose. Hahaha... However, I still need to work on my dancing...Anyway, we danced, though it was really hot and sweaty. Had loads of fun there. None of us stayed too long though... Most of us were tired... So at around 2am we left and had supper at Hungry Jacks before heading back home. I bunked at Grace and Mary's place for the night.
It was a pity Szerene wasn't with us in most of the photos as she wasn't with us pretty much of the night, but then, some of the pics that has her and us in it are from her camera, so I'm still waiting for them. However, these are the pics from Mary's camera...

I wish I am still 21!

Nice picture, innit? ;)

Just some pics together...
3/12/07:
And... Finally I've got tagged on Facebook for more photos from the party... YAY!! But... it's just 2 pictures??? Dang... I should have fished out my camera to satisfy the paparazzi-style moi.
Sorry... I don't wish to scare anyone off with my photo-taking habit. LOL. I'm usually that way with FOOD. Someone introduce me a job as a food-feature journalist? ;)

Awful pics of me... but at least the birthday girl looks great! :)
And the shopping part...
After the big clubbing night, I was supposed to go Blue Hills with Eva and Alvin, but last minute it was cancelled cuz Alvin was being called to work. Therefore, there wasn't anything to do, and me, Grace and Mary ended up going shopping.
First, we had lunch at Kenzan @ GPO. The sushis here were individually wrapped in plastic, that when you peel the plastic off, you got to wrap the seaweed around the rice yourself. In that way, the seaweed is left crispy, and it tastes really fantastic! I ordered a tori soba soup, and it was good as well. Mary had her lunch bento special, and it was a huge serving.

my soba soup...
We proceeded to shops on Collins Street, and went to Louis Vuitton and Chanel to have a look. These shops are all out of my range, because they are just too pricey for their prestige. I can never afford a $1200 bag and $500 sunglasses. At Chanel, Grace bought a pair of earrings for $300. Wow...
After that, we went to shop at slightly less expensive places, but still the higher-end places like Bettina Liano and Tony Bianco etc... And at Mouche, I bought a necklace for $45. That must be the most expensive yet I've bought for my collection of accesesories. But I just like the simplicity and the dragonfly on the necklace. It's really nice.
Took pics as well... Melbourne's got their Christmas settings up... but they're all from the store room, which they recycle every year. As usual, Myer has got their animated displays up... very cute...

Something out of the display from Myers... I just love them for no reason.

The same 'ol Xmas tree on Collins Street... same every year...

Chapter 8: Just because...
My mind's blank... but my heart's not.
You may say that you are fine, but I know you are not.
I just want to hold your hand...
And walk with you to a more beautiful land...
If you allow me to...
If you are willing to give me another chance
So I can try once again, with my very best effort I can
And hopefully this time round it will work out
Regardless of what time there is left
As long as I can stay beside you
There will be nothing I will regret.
