Happy new year!

First post of the year....! A new year... 2014!

You would think that since I am on holidays, I should be having a blast counting down somewhere. But no, I am not only not counting down anywhere, I am just having a beer with my dad, at HOME, whilst snacking on chips and engaging in Whatsapp conversations with a few friends wishing each other Happy 2014.

I think I am getting too old for crowds, so I avoided them altogether. It is always more comfortable being at home, having my air-condition turned on full blast, and chilling on the couch with the TV and beer. I really detest crowded places. Hate the thought of wrestling to get through, and having to endure the sweat and humidity is just not my ideal way of ushering in the new year.

So 2013 exited like that. 2013 to me has been a pretty peaceful year. It has been fulfilling and fruitful in many ways too. Of course there were ups and downs, but I guess generally it has been a productive year, with more ups than downs. Hopefully 2014 stays this way!

Hopes for 2014:

  • Successful launch of my project. Then the next step of getting clients to sign up. Hopefully my business development research will take Precis a step further! Also good for my career development.
  • Further tone up my body and lose more weight. I am glad that many friends have commented that I have lost some weight and looking great and healthy. But I have high standards for myself, so I can see myself in the gym maybe 5 days a week, if not 4.
  • Holidays - twice this year (fingers crossed!). I only managed to travel once this year so hopefully I can break my travels in two and get a breather sometime again soon!
  • Health for my parents. They have aged so much as I see them this time. Makes me want to come back home permanently to be with them.
  • Hopefully something miraculous would happen. But if not, it is OK too because whatever happens it is for the better for us, though it will definitely determine where my future would be.

I am having a blast in Singapore in general. The food here makes me salivate like crazy. Local food as I've known since young. Being with my family makes things so much better, and meeting up with my good friends just sums it all up. I don't know how I'll be able to leave at all this Sunday night. Right now, I just wish that time will stand still, so that I can have more fun in Singapore, and not have to work straight-away upon returning to the mundane life in Melbourne.

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone out there!

I will be back to blog again soon!
